A Busy Weekend at the Ranch

We moved the rescue horses into the round pen. We have found that palomino now that she is eating good is getting meaner. We have to put her up on the fence to get caught. If she is tied up it has to be solid or otherwise she will pull it down and run with whatever is wrapped in the rope. Then she is a real pain to catch. We think now that she is being fed regularly and feeling better some of the past bad handling and other issues are resurfacing.

The Animal Control officer out on Thursday. We talked about the horses, what needs to be done with them and just in general problems. The palomino was the horse main topic od discussion. I told them she was a horse that couldn’t be trusteed to have kids handle her, handling my adults was also a big issue, trimming her feet without being sedated wasn’t happening, and her future.

My feeling is where she can’t be trusted she should be a permanent pasture art where she is fed and not handled much or taken to the landfill and put down. I feel the latter is the best for her. She isn’t mellowing as expected and is getting worse to be around. I talked to the daughter who is in charge of the horse rescue about her and we decided to wait on her till after the court case is over.

We are now working on the web site. The site is coming along slower than I wanted. Live enters and changes priorities and takes other things off the table. I am hoping that by next week we can have the website and going. I am leaving q week from Weds to take cows up to the hills for summer pasture for 5 days. When I get back we will be getting ready for Linda’s Jewelry Showing.

We have finished all of the work needed for the Jewelry showing. We are waiting on full announcement till we confirm on Monday with the shop owner that we are good to go. Once we have that commitment from them we will provide details here and on Facebook.

Linda has decided to hold off on a knee replacement for now. She is going to see how it feels as she gets to feeling better with her hip replacement.

Linda is making jewelry at a furious pace. Her original and unique one of kind designs is going to be a nice pick of jewelry over the mass produced designs out there in other jewelry stores.
