Another Frustrating Day at the Ranch

 

 

ML Ranch Jewelry is still waiting for Bonneville Sheriff Dept. show some compassion towards the 2 seized horses. However we are realizing they don’t care about them.  We believe they are hoping the horses and the owners problems go away. We can’t even get them to respond back to phone calls left for them.

 

We are going to make up the bill so far for the care of the horses. We need to pay for their board regardless of not caring by the Sheriff’s Dept. the bills needs to be paid.  Also we have paid for a farrier to work on their hooves, wormer, shavings, hay, etc.

Well ML Ranch Jewelry is in the process of editing and copy right protecting of the pictures of new jewelry for the on line stores. The new jewelry will start to be listed today on the various on line stores. The weather today is also conducive to adding jewelry as it is raining and wind gusts of greater than 40 mph.  We ahd a week of super nice weather and I guess having bad weather is expected during spring in Idaho.

Frustrating and Waiting Game Day at the Ranch

 

ML Ranch Jewelry is still concerned on what Bonneville Co Sheriff is going to do on the horse animal abuse case. We are still concerned they are trying to get the media (Local and Internet) to quiet down before they do something stupid like seize the horses and take them to the landfill to put them down.

 

Well the Bonneville Co. Sheriff is continuing there NO SEEM UM policy. If they don’t actually see the horses the horse’s problem isn’t there. So far the horses have been in the rescue’s care since March 23^rd and the still haven’t been out to check on them. They don’t even call to check on them. We don’t know what to do for paying for feed, bedding material, and vet bills. We are digging deep into our pockets to help feed and bed the horses but it isn’t cheap to do this.

 

Any help the horse rescue can get will be greatly appreciated. Also any phone calls to the Bonneville Co Sheriff’s Dept. and let them know the showed allow donations for  the horses to be taken will  also be a great help.

Well ML Ranch jewelry is back from its Easter Break.  We stayed at home and enjoyed the nice weather.  It has been the nicest weather we have had since the 1^st week of Nov.

Linda has come up with several new designs for earrings.  She is almost done with one pair when it is finished we will post up the pictures. We are getting ready to take some pictures of new jewelry and post them up on the on line stores. We will let you know when they start to hit the stores.

 

ON a Side Note

The new Tv in the kitchen is the best thing we have done in ages. It is nice to look directly at the TV and not have to see it in reverse in the mirror.  That was livable but it is way nicer to have it in the kitchen.

 ML Ranch Jewelry is still concerned on what Bonneville Co Sheriff is going to do on the horse animal abuse case. We are still concerned they are trying to get the media (Local and Internet) to quiet down before they do something stupid, like seize the horses and take them to the landfill to put them down.

We have confirmed that Bonneville Co Sheriff is turning down all offers of donations to help the 2 horses seized and those still remaining with the owner. We feel this an injustice to all of the horses. The donations have ranged from money for  hay, vet checks, to wormers. We find that to be an out an out injustice to all of the horses regardless of who is in possession of them. We all want the best for the horses and find it hard to believe the Sherriff’s dept. turning down this help.

 

We know that when these horses were wormed n Monday that worms are a big problem for these horses. They have found tapeworms up to 9 inches in the fecal matter. They have also found round worms up to 8 inches also in the fecal matter.  It is amazing that these animals have survived with these large parasites inside of them.

 

Any help the horse rescue can get will be greatly appreciated. Also any phone calls to the Bonneville Co Sheriff’s Dept. and let them know the showed allow donations for  the horses to be taken will  also be a great help.

ON a Side Note

Well the great TV Hook up was raised to a new level yesterday. As I was leaving to go out to the horses I looked at coaxial cable hookup in the garage wall and found the problem.  When we switched over to Direct Tv they hooked 4of the lines to the house but forgot to hook the 5^th one which was the kitchen coaxe. The  tech showed to a look agreed put on a new connector and was out of here in less than15 minutes.

 ML Ranch Jewelry and others are still concerned on what Bonneville Co Sheriff is going to do on the horse animal abuse case. We have confirmed that any further horses seized will be put down and pushed into the dead animal pit.  Bonneville Co Sheriff also stated it is cheaper to put them down than pay to rehab and feed them.

 We also found out that the Bonneville Co Sheriff is turning down donations to help out these horses. This B*** S**t. The sheriff and the State Vet have not out to check on the horses. We could use the donations for the hay, wormer, bedding and other misc. needs for the horses.

We paid to worm these horses as the Sheriff didn't want to pay to worm. We have found6-8 inch round worms in the fecal matter. We found a 9 inch tape worm in the fecal matter. It is amazing these horses are still alive

ML Ranch Jewelry is continuing to work on photo editing and adding new items on our online stores and Facebook. Where the horse and rescue is halted we should have them all added by the weekend.

Linda is working on a new wire wrapped designs  for earrings.  Her completed earrings are great looking.  The new original design guarantees you that if you have a pair of ML Ranch Jewelry’s earrings you won’t walk into the room and see your earrings on someone there.

 

ON a Side Note

Linda bought me a little flat screen TV to be in the kitchen for my Birthday which is today. This will allow me to watch TV when I am at the kitchen table. Well Thursday nite I got home at 5 pm and started on hooking it up. I had to find a cable TV box which was hid behind the safe and a short piece of coaxial cable from a unused vcr. I finally got the cable box and TV all hooked together and the cable box to the TV jacks in the wall.  Turned on the TV and followed all the steps to set it up.

Well when I ran the channel locator the TV said no Satellite connection found. Well I fiddle with that for a while.  I then called the TV hotline. We confirmed after a half hour we determined that the TV was hooked up correctly and the problem was the Dish carrier’s problem.

Well I called Direct TV to get help from them. Well after an hour of resetting the incoming signal and other various other things we determined we weren’t going to solve them that nite. This was after 3 and half hours to hook up a simple TV

Today the Direct TV tech will be here to hopefully solve the mystery of no TV signal in the kitchen.

PS This will make 5 TV’s on the main floor of the house. Every room in the main level has a TV.

The lesson learned  Hire a 10 year old and he will hook up the TV and and have it working with a half hour. I don’t have access to 10 yr. old so I spent a lot of additional 3 hours with no success.

Then put them down and push them into the dead animal pit. All we can hope is that they don’t put them down and give the local rescue time to see if they can rehab and adopt out the horses. However were the Sheriff’s dept doesn’t want to spend any money on doing that their only choice is to put the horses down. We heard them say they would have to take money out of the toy account( Ie New 4 wheelers, snow machines, jet boats, etc.) to pay for the horses care. They then said they wouldn’t tap into that account. So they have made their minds up and we have to wait and see when they pull off their next stupid move. Well the other “Crash Test Dummy” the copper wire wrapped bracelets are doing real well on standing up to the horses, cows and whatever else I can do to abuse them. A Busy Monday at the Ranch

A Busy Monday at the Ranch ML Ranch Jewelry had a trying Monday. We had to transport the 2 Bonneville County Animal Control seized horses to the vet to be checked. The vet took blood and fecal samples for testing to see if they had chemical problems and to look for worms. The also checked teeth and taped them for body weight. Both horses are under weight and need to be wormed, we did pay to have them wormed. The teeth weren’t bad but could stand to be floated. As we were for the vet to start we were talking to Bonneville Co Sheriff Deputies about the next steps we would be helping them with. They were wanting the local Horse Rescue to take the large number of seized horses. They wanted the rescue to take ownership of them and take on the costs of feeding, boarding, vet checks, farrier, medicine costs. The Bonneville Co Sheriff would not help the Rescue out with any of the costs. When the Sheriff Sgt. was informed the Rescue didn’t have the money to perform all the tasks that would be incurred their game plan changed. The Sheriff Sgt. told us if that was the case, they would just take the horses up to the landfill, put them down and push them into the dead animal pit. They were only planning to pay for the 2 horses we picked up on Sat and no more. Bottom line they didn’t care if they had to put the horses down. This was a complete turnaround from what the Rescue had been told and was led to believe when we were working them all this time. Basically Bonneville County Sheriff’s department wanted someone to take the horses and fund the cost of taking care of them without any monetary payment to the Rescue. I found this to be a cold decision they were making. I am sure that other animal recuse groups would find the decision cruel and unjust to do. The outcry would be rather loud if people were informed of the Bonneville Co Sheriff’s Dept.’s cruel handling of the horses. Any help would be appreciated. Phone calls to the Bonneville Co Sheriff’s Dept. here in Idaho would be a big help. A Busy Day Ranch this Weekend

 

ML Ranch Jewelry had a busy weekend. We belong to a local Equine rescue here in South East Idaho.  The authorities here have seize a number of horses starting Saturday and continuing this week till the owner is down to minimum of horses, which will be decided today. The will be owner notified of the number horses the authorities have chosen. The owner is unable to pay for these horses hay and veterinary needs. On Saturday and Phoenix Equine Rescue will move them to a place where their care and needs can be met.

 

We picked up the first of those horses Saturday. These horses have some issues that a veterinarian will have to diagnose.  These horses will face blood tests, fecal sampling, teeth floating, and whatever else is decided they will need.

 

Phoenix Equine Rescue is looking for donations to provide for these horses. Here is the note that I posted on our Facebook pages. Thank you for your kind consideration and any donation you might make.

ML Ranch Jewelry

 

ML Ranch Jewelry spent last Friday evening taking pictures of new jewelry to go into the online stores.  A good share of the this new inventory will be bracelets. We were low in our collection of them.  This will be good to have more to shop from. I have added 2 of the new pieces to our online stores.

Linda is completing several of the Viking Knit pieces. She is has started a seed bead that will be incorporated into a necklace. Seed beads take patience and time to complete the piece of work.

Well it is 6 in the morning here. We will start on the new picture cropping once we have more coffee consumed. Being up since 4 today and after a 18 hour day yesterday and my MS shot last nite, I will need coffee to get started. However a nap won’t be too far off. I will be taking horses to the vet later this morning.  I  will grab a nap when I can, as it is going to be a hetic week with the rescue horses.
