Very, Very Slow Day at the Ranch

I didn’t do much with the animals yesterday. I was tied up editing pictures for several different projects and where they go.  I do have to go out today and clean stalls.  I can never find anyone who wants to clean stalls. They all want to play with  the animals but never want the other chores.

Linda finished the Viking Knit Choker and Necklace for the Custom Made Project.  I will try to post pictures here later today. I am behind schedule due to the slow day yesterday.

Linda finished another Custom Made project Viking Knit and Amethyst Necklace. We did the pictures for it last night.  It is on my list to do today so I can add them to the Custom Made Web page.

ML Ranch Jewelry is still slowly working on the pictures of completed jewelry to go on the online stores. The pictures and text is below the 2 Custom Made projects I need to do today.  Looks like a cold windy day which is a good day to work inside.

ML Ranch Jewelry is having a “Spring into Spring “Sale.  Everything is marked down 40% for this sale.  Check out our online stores.

Very Slow Monday at the Ranch

Very Slow Monday at the Ranch

Yesterday was a low key day for us at the Ranch yesterday.  My MS shot Sunday nite rang my bell and I was in slow mode.  This shot does this from time to time.  When it does I take it easy and let my body tell me what I can do.

My MS shot causes my system to go thru a 52 week roller coaster ride.  Each week I have to go thru the side effects from it. Some weeks the low is worse than others.  This was one of the low spots.

If you want to see a good video on how a Cowboy gets on his horse. Check out the video  link below. I won’t mention on who the Cowboy is.

Nice Sunday at the Ranch

Nice Sunday at the Ranch

Well I had to supervise community service youngster clean stalls for the Equine Rescue. His heart wasn’t it in shoveling poop.  I had to monitor him constantly. Having to check  on him took away from me working with my critters. Once he left I fed and watered my critters. Well when I took my little mule back into his stall he said no. Well this mule was more stubborn than him and finally muscled him into the stall. I hope he doesn’t pull that stunt very often.

Enough on the animal front and back to the main topic of this blog, which is Jewelry.

Linda is working on a Viking Knit Choker and Necklace for a Custom Made Project.  She is wire wrapping stones to go with the necklace.  Her wire work on gemstones has been out of the world.  She has tried out several designs and has settled to a pattern she likes, however over the nite she changed up the design.  Linda finished the Custom Made project necklace today.  I will take more pictures tomorrow, edit them post them up and also upload them up into the Custom Made Portfolio section.

A Good Day

A Busy Day

Well the ponies are doing fairly well today.  I hope they stay that way.  My Little guy Sir Lance the mule is still behaving and I hope he stays that way. His Mom, Carrot is basking in the glow of being pregnant.  She is the type of horse that is mellow when she is in foal. However, when she is not in foal she is a first class wench.  So we keep her pregnant so she stays Mellow.  She is one of 2 horses that I have not gotten and rode after getting hurt by them. She broke my back when she unloaded me and stepped on her. We are looking at having someone ride her out so she can be used as a saddle horse.

If you want to see a good video on how a Cowboy gets on his horse. Check out the video  link below. I won’t mention on who the Cowboy is.

ML Ranch Jewelry went the Idaho Arts Council 5th annual Artist Exhibits tonite. The crowd was surprisingly well attended for Idaho Falls. We had planned on entering several of Linda’s  Jewelry Pieces. However Linda was Helping a friend recover from a triple heart bypass.  The time to prepare and submit her pieces was put on the back burner to help a friend out .  Linda was very tired from her outing tonite. I have tried to tell her she is overdoing it and rest. So far most of my mentioning this has fallen on deaf ears.

ML Ranch Jewelry will enter Jewelry pieces next year. Also we will have the granddaughter submit several pieces of her Drawings.  I found one of her pictures of her work . I will get more of her work to post up later.

ML Ranch Jewelry is still slowly working on the pictures of completed jewelry to go on the online stores.  Then cropping, light work, and copy write on the pictures is very time consuming.  We will let you know when they start to be on the on line stores ML Ranch Jewelry uses.

A Quiet but Good Day at the Ranch

Well it was a Quiet Day at the Ranch

I tried to help a friend haul his calves to auction today. That was an interesting job to watch. It was a good thing he had help to work and load h=the calves into several trailers. He was hoping to be done by 9 and it was after 10 when we left for the auction.

On My front my little mule colt “Sir Lancelot” has went 3 days knock on wood(or my  hard head) has went 3 days with the top door to his stall open and he remained inside. This is the mule at 3 weeks old would launch himself up and over to be by mom.  May be we are gaining ground with his manners.

Sir Lance’s sister Rosie I think is glad the brat has some manners and doesn’t have to share a space all day with him. She is going to get ground work manners on her this week. I want to be able to have her go to the hills with her this summer and fall.

Enough on the animal front and back to the main topic of this blog, which is Jewelry.

I am Back

MLRanchJewelry
Jewelry

So far Linda is recovering well after her total hip replacement has been fairly normal.  We did have one scare this week. Her leg swelled up and hurt. She had an ultrasound to check for clots. No clots, she needed to keep the leg up more.

Linda (ML Ranch Jewelry) was asked to submit pictures to Custom Made. They wanted to have them juried in to possibly join their group of artisans. They asked her to join yesterday.  They loved Linda’s attention to detail and her Custom and Original Designs.  You have to be invited to join Custom Made.

This real honor to be asked to join their organization.

Custom Made receives orders for custom pieces. You put together a design and cost for a bid for the piece.  If your Original Custom Design is accepted then you proceed with the build of the piece.

Linda is working on a Viking Knit Choker and Necklace for a Custom Made Project.  She should be done by the first of the week.

ML Ranch Jewelry spent the morning taking pictures of completed jewelry to go on the online stores.

ML Ranch Jewelry is having a “Spring into Spring “Sale.  Everything is marked down 40% for this sale.  Check out our online stores.

Well Linda’s surgery for her hip replacement went good today, The Doc said everything went well. He did say she had worn that hip down bad and had a hunk of cartilage there also that was adding to her pain.

The had her up and walking on it tonite.  She will be up and doing therapy twice Sat and Sun. The doc felt if that therapy went well he would let her go home Sun evening. She said the pain walking on it tonite was less than she had before the surgery. When I left tonite she was working on some jewelry pieces.

My blogs may be hit or miss the next week depending on how Linda is doing.
