Well Mother Nature backed off last night and I got 12 hours of sleep. It was nice to get the sleep , but the phone was ringing of people needing plowed out. So I was on the skid steer for 7 hours today. I am hoping tomorrow is quiet. I would like a day to catch up home on things that need to be done.

Linda answered the phone and worked on Jewelry . I told her I wanted her job and she could plow snow.  She gave the look like nice try. It was worth a shot I thought.

Well I am heading to bed. I hope your day wasn’t as exciting as mine was.

One interesting note  is USPS has raised the flat shipping

Well we are going out to dinner tonight. First time we have had a meal together for a few days.

Well Mother Nature but a crimp in the jewelry dept. since Saturday. We got 4 inches of snow on Sat , 6 more inches on Sun and 10 inches Mon. Needless to say we have been plowing snow and answering the phone from people needing plowed out. My sleep has taken a hit the last few days. We are supposed to get some drier weather the rest of the week.

On top of that the fuel pump on the plow truck quit working today so it is in the shop for repairs. I guess I am doomed to the skid steer till it is fixed.

Linda started working on a Viking Knit bracelet today. It  will be a new and unique piece of jewelry. We will post up some pictures when she finishes it later this week.

I am hoping to continue to update and post up the changes this week.  I will keep  you posted on the progress.

Well today was a non-jewelry day here at  ML Ranch Jewelry. I spent the day plowing snow. We have had 6 inches and they are calling for up to 6 inches more tonight.  Plus they are calling for another 4 inches on Tues and Weds.

I hope you had enjoyed the day. I am glad it wasn’t Super Bowl Sun because I would have missed the advertisments.

ML Ranch Jewelry is updating it’s Necklace and Earrings. I need to get this done so I can post up new products. Check out the new updated prices.

Linda is continuing to work on her different wire wrap designs for bracelets. Linda made me a copper tubing wrapped in silver. It looks like it is glowing from a distance. Also I have noticed that my right wrist were I am wearing it is continually cool. I tried it on the other hand with the same results.  It is like having a silver finned, aka-transmission cooler, effect. I do like the cool on the right wrist as it has had a number of surgeries the last few years.

Jewelry Making

 ML Ranch Jewelry worked on components for bracelets today. While Linda worked the fine work I did the cutting of bracelet materials in different lengths. Linda is going to start on working on a different wire wrap design of her own. Also she is going to make some test bracelets using a combination of materials.

The weather is finally getting livable for the first time in over two weeks. The newspaper said it is the longest cold snap we have had in almost 100 years. I hope it gets a little warmer. I want to be able to work with the horses and mules. I can take most cold weather  as long as the wind doesn’t blow. Plus I can cut back on one less layer of clothing.

It's Monday Morning

Well it is Monday morning. Monday is usually a low key day at ML Ranch Jewelry. Linda works on jewelry and I take it easy and work on catch up work like paper work. A nap for me is always in the agenda for me. The shot on Sun night for my MS  has a tendency to slow me down.

ML Ranch Jewelry is working on a Wire Wrap Bracelet for Women. The tubing which is wire wrapped is eighth in tubing. It will interesting to see what wire wrap design Linda uses.

ML Ranch Jewelry is working on Jewelry show application’s for the Summer Art Show in Jackson Hole ,WY and the Cowboy Christmas in Las Vegas next December. These two Art Shows will be the largest of the year if we are chosen. You have to be juried in. This is a review of your product type and quality of the product you will display for sale. Also the require photo’s of display at prior art shows.

Well a nap is calling me. I think I will take a nap.

Weather

ML Ranch Jewelry is hoping for some warmer weather. The lows at nite are in the 5 to 15 below range. It does get above zero for a few hours during the day. My chore of cleaning the horses stalls takes a little longer in this weather.

Well today was a work inside day. It was 14 below at 7 this morning. The high for the day was 0.

ML Ranch Jewelry watched our son Mike Crosby Barrel Race in Buckeye, AZ. He and Trigger had another good, clean, and fast run. They have had a great weekend of racing.

ML Ranch Jewelry is going to look into having a booth next year at the Barrel Races.

Linda has been making earring parts today as we spent the day watching the the Races.

ML Ranch Jewelry has designed and made a new Men’s Bracelet.  It is a Neat design of Copper Tubing and wrapped with a Copper Wire Wrap Design.  

The Auto Industry uses Test Dummies to test out their Designs.  ML Ranch Jewelry uses a little different method for Product Testing.

 Linda designs it and makes it and gives it to me to wear.

Linda figures that if a piece of Men’s Jewelry can survive my Dennis the Menace lifestyle. The Men’s Jewelry design will standup to the normal wear and tear of the ordinary wearer.

ML Ranch Jewelry is watching the Barrel Races in Bukeye, AZ. We supported BRN4D with gift certificates for the 1D thru 5D winners.

Also we are closely watching Mike Crosby and Trigger race this weekend. They werethe Future Fortune Amateur Winners for the Barrel Races last weekend. We are rooting for you guys.

I am trying out a new Wire Wrap Copper Bracelet. It is 2 pieces of 1/4 inch copper pipe and copper wire. We are setting here waiting for Mike to check out the new snow on the driveway and finishing the ends.

Mike is my Jewelry critique person and test driver for men's Jewelry. If it can survive the horses, mules, lab pup and everyday activities I know I have found a Jewelry Design for Men. He is tough on Jewelry.

ML Ranch Jewelry is in the process of developing  a dry media Jewelry cleaner. We have found it will clean all types of metals used in Jewelry making. It is also a media that can clean on all types of Gemstones and not hurt them.

Well I quess it is time to call it quita for the day.
